The Mt Buller bike park is one of Victoria’s premier bike parks.
In summer (from late November to late April), Mt Buller’s premier snow runs turn into the ultimate downhill mountain biking course with a variety of challenging technical trail features such as berms, ramps and jumps. Accessible by shuttles, Mt Buller has been operating as a downhill venue since the 1980s, offering generations of riders the chance to feel the ultimate downhill thrill.
Mt Buller features 3 downhill, 1 flow track and 1 gravity trail, ranging from easy to advanced. The downhill trails begin at Spurs Restaurant and are marked with trail-head signs detailing their degree of difficulty (green for easiest, blue for more difficult and black for most difficult), length and elevation loss.
Trails involve a range of technical feature and obstacles, vary in altitude from 600 to 1,700 m and guarantee incredible views, an amazing alpine environment – and best of all, they’re free to use!
Due to the naturally steep and varied terrain, most are suitable for intermediate-advanced riders however there are some beginner – intermediate options.
Trails have been specifically designed and created to blend seamlessy into the alpine environment by renowned trail designer Glen Jacobs and his team from World Trail.
Mountain Bike Shuttle Services
Blue Dirt is the exclusive downhill and all mountain shuttle provider throughout the Summer riding season at Mt Buller.
To access Mt Buller you will first need a “Mirimbah (gate entrance to the park) to Mt Buller Village shuttle“. From the village you can access the Delatite & Epic trails.
If you want to ride the downhill gravity zones you will need to purchase a “gravity shuttle” pass to get shuttled from the Lower Tyrol car par to the top of the mountain (Spurs). These can be purchased in advance by the day or weekend (or a limited number of single-ride tickets may be available on the day subject to availability which you can purchase at the Lower Tyrol car park).
You can also purchase an all-mountain pass to cover both shuttles.
Shuttles typically operate from around 8:30 am to 4:30 pm on Saturdays and Sundays from late November to late April each year with extended days and hours during peak holiday seasons.
See the Blue Dirt website for accurate hours of operation>>
Chairlift Information
The Northside Express chairlift runs for mountain bike riders and sightseers for the Victorian Downhill Series and the Bike Buller Festival.
While some gravity trails close for competition events, non-competitive riders are able to use the Northside Express chairlift for an easy ride up to the trail head to cut laps.
Sightseers are welcome to ride the chairlift also and it’s a beautiful way to take in the view, glide through the tree canopy and watch the riders roll down the track beneath you.
